PSENS technology

Tire pressure is a crucial factor for many MTB riders. To make pressure determination as quick and easy as possible, Tubolito has developed PSENS technology. Behind this is the world’s first smart bicycle inner tube. With the help of an NFC chip built into the tube and a cell phone app (available for iOS, iPhone 7 and newer, and Android phones that support NFC technology), the pressure can be easily measured at any time and displayed in bar and PSI. Since the chip, which weighs only a few grams, is installed directly in the hose, it is not visible from the outside and therefore not susceptible to stone chips, etc. The procedure for measuring the pressure is also very simple: start the cell phone app, bring it close to the built-in chip and the pressure is displayed after a few seconds of measuring time, accurate to a tenth of a bar. The chip requires no battery and can be used as long as the Tubolito itself is in use.

Designed, developed and manufactured in Europe

Tubolito hoses made of the high-tech material thermoplastic can withstand forces two times higher than standard hoses. The material can be stretched more than four times, providing maximum protection against breakdown.

Tubolito hoses under test

A 0.75 mm test mandrel travels at a defined speed through a pre-drilled hole in the casing. Tire pressure is 2.0 bar. The force and the distance to the tire burst are recorded. Tubolito is clearly convincing here: the puncture resistance is twice as high as with standard tubes in terms of puncture.

Important note: Only for bicycles with disc brakes. Not suitable for rim brakes!
