The Specialized Enduro and Demo could clearly be siblings – this is obviously because they share a lot of downhill DNA. A more rearward-facing wheel elevation curve reduces speed penalty on big obstacles. A low-slung, forward-facing shock keeps the bike feeling snug and secure at high speeds. The balanced stiffness of the chassis also helps generate precise steering and directional stability. Add it all up and you have a bike that always stays in control, even on the steepest and rockiest trails.

Amazingly fast

When you pedal, the Enduro accelerates much faster than you’d expect from a downhill behemoth. Where does this come from? First, Specialized has increased the anti-squat value, so the chassis resists drivetrain influences better. Second, the chainstay angle and linkage at the top of the shock have been realigned to increase efficiency. The end result? Less bobbing, more speed.

Perfect fit

Speed and fit are not mutually exclusive, which is why the Enduro’s progressive geometry works great uphill in addition to downhill. The difference in seat tube length and stack between the different frame sizes here is not great, so you can now actually choose any frame size that suits both your height and riding style. With a flatter head tube angle, wider reach and steeper seat tube across all sizes, you get a faster and more powerful bike – regardless of size.
