Add the lightweight magnesium brake pad carriers and you have a total package that impresses with a balanced ratio between braking power, stiffness and low weight.

SLR-EV

The SLR-EV technology extends the Shimano Linear Response concept which aims for improved response and optimal dosing.

Symmetrical Dual Pivot side-pull brakes with SLR-EV system use two bearings and a roller to achieve greater efficiency in the joint area. However, SLR-EV also has a positive effect on the modulation of Direct Mount calipers, so that current models can boast a 36 % increase in braking force.
