Design
The design of the Scale is the result of the pursuit of perfection and pure efficiency, strictly following the concept of “Form Follows Function” . In the search for the ultimate, yet simple design, the design was focused on the essentials and created a whole new kind of bike. The result is a straightforward and simple design that gives the Scale its unique character and aggressive look.
Monocoque construction
Thanks to the monocoque construction of the Scale RC, only one mold can be used for the main part of the bike during production. The Scale consists of only three individual parts that have been joined together. This leads directly to increased efficiency due to the reduced number of joints and thus to less weight while maintaining first-class stiffness. Designed as a system, the frame can better handle forces acting on it thanks to the monocoque design.
Syncros Fraser iC Combo
The Scale features the Fraser iC combo from Syncros. Cable integration is a major challenge and the Fraser was designed to solve just that. The designers at Syncros worked hard on the shape so that the cables run under the handlebars and around the sides of the stem before disappearing into the headset with integrated plastic parts. This makes for a tidy and efficient cockpit. So the cables are not bent or kinked and the front looks minimalist. The handlebars and stems offer multiple options for computer, light and camera mounts both on and under the handlebars.
Adjustable steering head angle
On the Scale RC, you can adjust the steering angle by 0.6°, either flatter or steeper. All you have to do is disassemble the handlebars, rotate the headset 180 degrees, and reassemble the handlebars.
Service hatch
A small service hatch, accessible via a cover on the down tube, allows easy access to the inside of the frame without having to remove the lower bottom bracket. Frame maintenance is thus simplified with regard to cable routing.
