Details of the Scott Scale 920

The design of the Scale is the result of a quest for perfection and pure efficiency, strictly following the concept of “Form Follows Function”. In the search for the ultimate, yet simple construction, the design was reduced to the essentials and a new kind of bike was created. The result is a straightforward and simple design that gives the Scale its unique character and aggressive look – a bike that proudly flaunts its features.

Thanks to the Scale’s monocoque construction, only one mold can be used in production for the bike’s main area, the front frame triangle. Thanks to Scott’s experience with carbon, the Scale consists of just three individual parts. This leads directly to increased efficiency due to the reduced number of joints and thus to less weight while maintaining first-class stiffness.

A small service hatch, accessible via a cover on the down tube, allows easy access to the inside of the frame without having to remove the lower bottom bracket. Frame maintenance is thus simplified in terms of cable routing.
