Details of the Norco Sight VLT A1

The VLT series is designed around a removable Shimano approved battery. Norco specifically designed the VLT E-MTB range so that the battery can be quickly and easily slid into the down tube and removed for charging off the bike.

Norco has focused on seamless integration of Shimano’s EP8 motor, which offers higher torque, lighter weight and greater efficiency. To be able to remove the battery without compromising the integrity of the downtube, Norco turned the front of the EP8 motor upward. The rotated mount also provides additional ground clearance, dramatically reducing the likelihood of impact damage.

The new positioning of the motor allowed Norco to rethink the suspension layout and kinematics compared to previous VLT rockers, resulting in an updated horizontal shock configuration while further optimizing the suspension kinematics.
