Features of the Giant REIGN ADVANCED PRO 2 – Carbon Mountain Bike – 2023
- The main frame and rear triangle are made of high-performance carbon fiber and special resin from Giant’s own production.
- With the Maestro suspension you have an active, efficient and independent suspension system on the trail.
- Boost technology provides greater hub spacing (110mm front / 148mm rear) and results in stiffer wheels for more control, more tire clearance.
- The integrated storage compartment in the down tube provides space for all the essentials on the trail.
- RockShox ZEB Select Suspension fork with 170mm travel and carbon frame with 160mm travel.
- More agile descents thanks to telescopic seatpost.
- Performant and reliable Shimano SLX 12-speed gears.
Technologies of the Reign Advanced Pro 2
With the new Flip Chip technology you can switch between three settings depending on the terrain. You can choose a 63.5, 63.9 or 64.2 degree head angle and correspondingly 78.3, 78.7 or 79 degree seat tube angle, resulting in 35, 30 or 25 mm (size medium) of bottom bracket drop to tailor the ride to trail conditions, riding style and rear wheel size
A new Maestro rear suspension with longer travel (160mm) has been developed and tested under the extreme conditions of the Enduro World Series. The shock with Trunnion Mount mounting has a longer stroke (62.5 mm compared to 60 mm on the previous generation). The upper baffle made of Advanced Forged Carbon increases stiffness and reduces the overall weight.
– This shock mount provides a lower leverage ratio for more pedaling and braking efficiency, a lower center of gravity and shorter chainstays for better handling, climbing and agility.
Riders have the option of a combination between a 29- or 27.5-inch rear wheel and a 29-inch front wheel. The larger 29-inch rear wheel improves stability and rollover, while the 27.5-inch rear wheel gives a more agile and faster feel. With a quick and easy change, you can customize the ride and feel of your bike.
– GIANT’s original oversized fork steerer. Built for steering precision, the extra-large headset bearings (1 1/4″ bottom, 1 1/8″ top for road, 1 1/2″ bottom and 1 1/8″ top for mountain) and tapered steerer tube deliver optimal front-end stiffness.
